Abstract
This document describes how to download interim fix packages and readme files for IBM Spectrum Protect backup-archive client 7.1.8.x.
Download Description
Tip: The product now known as IBM Spectrum Protect was named IBM Tivoli Storage Manager in releases earlier than Version 7.1.3. To learn more about the rebranding transition, see: Tivoli Storage Manager branding transition to IBM Spectrum Protect.

Download interim fix packages and readme files for the IBM Spectrum Protect 7.1.8.x clients, are built on top of the 7.1.8 fix pack. These packages include both English and non-English clients where supported. Maintenance is cumulative.
Note: Follow the package link to download and view the readme files, independent of the package.
Interim fixes are only delivered on a subset of platforms, as recommend waiting for the fully tested fix pack containing the fix. However, if you have a business need for a fix on a different platform than listed in download section before the next fix pack, contact IBM Support.

Note:
- Beginning with IBM Spectrum Protect backup-archive client 7.1.8.8, the snapdiff functionality is no longer supported on AIX due to its use of NetApp® Manageability SDK, which no longer supports AIX. For more information, see the NetApp® Manageability SDK 5.5 Release Notes on the NetApp website.
- As in APAR IT35286: Because of security fixes, the operating systems AIX 6.1 and AIX 7.1 TL0-TL3 (xlc.rte < 13.0) are not longer supported by IBM Spectrum Protect backup-archive client 7.1.8.10 and later levels.
