Abstract

This document describes how to download the installation images for IBM® Spectrum Protect™ HSM for Windows Version 7.1.6 using the Passport Advantage® online website.

Download Description

Tip: Beginning with Version 7.1.3, IBM® Tivoli® Storage Manager HSM for Windows is now IBM Spectrum Protect HSM for Windows. Some applications such as the software fulfillment systems and IBM License Metric Tool use the new product name. However, the software and its product documentation continue to use the Tivoli Storage Manager product name. This document describes how to download the installation images for IBM Spectrum Protect HSM for Windows V7.1.6 using the Passport Advantage Online Web site.

Space requirements:

  • 24 MB (self-extracting .exe file) and 66 MB (.iso image) of disk space to download the part, plus
  • 63 MB of disk space to unpack the part
  • 36.5 MB of disk space for the installed product, plus 12.5 MB for Microsoft redistributables

Downloading and assembling the product:

  1. Download the part. The part number is listed in the "Downloadable part" section of this document.
  2. Unpack the downloaded part.
  3. Follow the instructions in the IBM Spectrum Protect HSM for Windows Quick Start Guide to install the product.
  4. For the latest information about the product, see IBM Spectrum Protect HSM for Windows Version 7.1 fix pack readme files.

Retrieve a copy of the Quick Start Guide for IBM Spectrum Protect HSM for Windows. The Quick Start Guide is available with the product and included on the Quick Start DVD. The Quick Start Guide is also available for download in PDF format in all supported languages by clicking the link in the table below. Follow the instructions in the Quick Start Guide to install the product.
