Interim Fix 4.2.0.0-TIV-ITNMIP-IF0002 provides important fixes for the Tivoli Network Manager 4.2 Core and GUI components, including security fixes.

4.2.0.0-TIV-ITNMIP-IF0002 must be installed on both the Network Manager core and GUI servers.

Prerequisites

Tivoli Network Manager IP Edition 4.2

Tivoli Netcool/OMNIbus_GUI 8.1.0 Fix Pack 5 or later must be installed before applying 4.2 Interim Fix 2.

The latest Netcool/OMNIbus_GUI 8.1.0 fix packs are available from the Tivoli Netcool/OMNIbus Support Page.

There are two methods of installing an interim fix using Installation Manager:
1. Download and unzip the interim fix file, then point Installation Manager at the root of the unzipped file and press Update (following the instructions in the wizard).

2. Start Installation Manager, ensuring that you enable the connection to Passport Advantage within the Installation Manager Preferences, then press Update and follow the instructions for remote installation of the interim fix in the wizard.
