Rational Functional Tester Fix Pack 7 (188.8.131.52) for 8.6

Installing Rational Functional Tester .NET 2010 help
If you have installed Rational Functional Tester with Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 .NET Integration, you must install Rational Functional Tester Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 .NET help manually:

Adobe Flex support
Testing Flex applications is supported only on 32-bit browsers.
Testing Flex applications is not supported on Mozilla Firefox 17.0 and above or on Google Chrome .
While taking a data verification point on multiple selected elements of a Flex list control, all the selected values are not picked up.
Insert Test Object does not work for Flex and SparkFormControl.
It is not possible to play back actions that are recorded on the vertical scroll bar of a SparkList.
Microsoft Silverlight support:
Rational FunctionalTester supports recording Silverlight applications only on 32 bit Internet Explorer.
Microsoft .NET 4.5 support
Recording actions on the drop-down list of a RibbonFilterMenu is not supported.
Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 Ultimate support
This limitation only applies to 64-bit version of Windows.
If you face any errors related to the loading of the package while creating a project in Rational Functional Tester, Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 Ultimate Integration, use the following workarounds:
Download and install any missing dependencies (for example, msvcp80.dll and msvcr80.dll). Then, create a project. For details, see the technote: Rational Functional Tester integration with Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 does not work as expected.
PDF 9.0, 10.0 and 11.0 file testing support
When you record on the Reader toolbar buttons in Adobe Reader 10.0 and 11.0, the action is recorded as click(atPoint(x,y)).
When you record on a PDF file that is opened in a Mozilla Firefox browser, you must first record actions in the browser and then begin the recording on the PDF file.
Playback fails when only the find() API is used to locate objects. As a workaround, click the captured object first and then play back.
In Rational Functional Tester Microsoft Studio Integration, the PDF crashes during the playback, following a few clicks.
Other limitations and workarounds
If you are using JRE 1.6 Update 17 or later, and you want to open the Verification Point Comparator from the detailed playback log of a script that was played back from Rational Qualiy Manager, you must disable the next-generation plug-in on the workstation where you are opening the Comparator.
There is a defect where Chrome version 42 blocks the Java plugin. As a result, an additional configuration step is required to continue using NPAPAI plugins. For more information, see technote 1883446.
To enable Google Chrome for testing, the extension must be installed from the Chrome Web Store. For more information, see technote 1699063.
IBM JRE 1.7 and Sun JRE 1.7 are supported on Mozilla Firefox 3.6 - Mozilla Firefox 17 ESR, only if the test environment is enabled automatically. From Mozilla Firefox 18 onwards, this is not a limitation.
Currently, Rational Functional Tester supports Mozilla Firefox up to version 41. With version 42 and above, RFT becomes unresponsive during recording and playback when Firefox was enabled through RFT. For more information, see technote 1973233.
Testing with Google Chrome requires a 32-bit Oracle JRE. For more information, see technote 1973262.
Although Rational Functional Tester 220.127.116.11 supports 64-bit installation, integration with ClearCase only supports 32-bit integration.

Support for Windows 10
Support for installation of Rational Functional Tester as a 64-bit application on Windows computers. Previous releases supported installation of Rational Functional Tester as a 32-bit application only. For Linux installations, Rational Functional Tester continues to be installed as a 32-bit application only.
The RQM Adapter and the Keyword view in Rational Functional Tester both provide the option to connect to the Rational Quality Manager server through Kerberos authentication. You have the option to select Username and Password or Kerberos as the authentication mode in the RQM Adapter and Keyword view. This replaces the configuration steps that were required for Kerberos authentication in Fix Pack 6.
