QRadar: GDPR and case management

Question/Answer

Question

How is IBM addressing  GDPR in case management?

Answer

What is GDPR?
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a law that took effect on May 25, 2018.  The law is designed to unify data privacy requirements across the European Union.

If you market to or process the information of EU Data Subjects, which include end users, customers and employees, you need to learn how to address these key requirements.

How is IBM handling GDPR?

IBM is applying GDPR policy's globally to all customers. GDPR requirements as well as privacy policies defined by IBM will be strictly adhered to. Thirty Days after a case is closed,  all data, submitted to Support will be deleted. Since you have the option to reopen a case for up to 90 days, it becomes your responsibility to retain the logs you provide to QRadar Support. Should you not retain those logs you will be required to provide new logs if the case is reopened.
