Using IBM TRIRIGA Fundamentals security groups

Question & Answer

Question

What are the IBM TRIRIGA Fundamentals security groups used for?

Cause

When checking the available security groups after upgrading, you see new ones with Fundamentals text string in the names. For example:

TRIRIGA Application Administrator - Fundamentals
TRIRIGA Application Builder - Fundamentals
TRIRIGA CAD User - Fundamentals
TRIRIGA Contact Center Agent - Fundamentals

You want to know what they are for.

Answer

The Fundamentals are groups added as a simplified subset of the original groups. They are tied to user roles which attempt to only show the fundamentally required information on the portals and menus for these roles (in some cases the standard roles may overwhelm users with the amount of information you see).
