Warning seen in Websphere log: com.ibm.ws.jsp.taglib.TagLibraryCache loadTldsFromJar jsp error

Troubleshooting


Problem

Upon startup, a warning similar to the following may be seen in the Websphere startup log: W com.ibm.ws.jsp.taglib.TagLibraryCache loadTldsFromJar jsp error failed to load tld in jar. uri = [/WEB-INF/lib/jettison-1.3.5.jar] java.io.FileNotFoundException: D:\IBM\WebSphere\AppServer\profiles\AppSrv01\wstemp\WABS\[...]\com.ibm.mdm.hub.server-E001..11.4.0\com.ibm.mdm.server.ws.restful..11.4.0.FP06IF000_20160723-0401.war\WEB-INF\lib\jettison-1.3.5.jar (The system cannot find the path specified.)

Resolving The Problem

1) Go to the web container custom properties page as described here:
http://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SSAW57_8.5.5/com.ibm.websphere.nd.doc/ae/rweb_custom_props.html?lang=en
2) Then create a new parameter called 'com.ibm.wsspi.jsp.disableTldSearch' with the value 'true' (do not use single quotes):
Name: com.ibm.wsspi.jsp.disableTldSearch
Value: true
3) Restart the server.
