Problem
Internal Error. Failed to open Java VM
Symptom
When using an Excel export node in Modeler, the following error is shown: Internal Error. Failed to open Java VM
Cause
The Max memory for the Modeler JVM needs to be raised in order to process creating the excel file.
Resolving The Problem
To resolve the issue, increase the Java heap:
1.) Make a backup of the jvm.cfg file in <Modeler>\config\
2.) Open jvm.cfg in a text editor
3.) Find the max JVM setting, it should look like:
options, "-Xmx2048m"
4.) Raise the inner number. The number it is raised to should be less than the server/computer's available RAM and be a multiple of 1024 example: options, "-Xmx4096m"
5.) Save the jvm.cfg file and Start Modeler, if the issue persists contact support
