Problem

Removal of ClearCase foundation fails after addition of automatic view support.

Symptom

Install "ClearCase foundation." Then modify the installation to add "Automatic view client" and remove "ClearCase foundation."

Result: removal of ClearCase foundation in this context fails with the error message, "validation of CC_ServerProcessUserID, username and password don't match"

Resolving The Problem

If you have installed ClearCase foundation and then decided that you don't want it, remove it and reboot the machine. Then use IM to add support for the automatic view client.
