Problem
Unable to start the Tivoli Storage Manager client due the following error: ANS1464S Cannot load ICC encryption library.
Cause
The Tivoli Storage Manager client uses a cryptography library which is installed automatically with the client and is being loaded at runtime. The client cannot proceed if the library is not loaded.
Resolving The Problem
This problem can occur for various reasons but is mainly due to the client not being installed correctly. The best solution for this error is to re-install the client code. Until the client code is properly reinstalled, the following suggestions may be used as a workaround.
In the client options file, code one of the following options :
