Receiving Error 1329 or 1330 while installing IBM SPSS Modeler on a Windows XP operating system

Troubleshooting


Problem

Upon attempting to install IBM SPSS Modeler on a Windows XP operating system, the end-user is receiving: Error 1329 or 1330: a file that is required cannot be installed because the cabinet file is not digitally signed. This may indicate that the cabinet file is corrupt.

Symptom

Unable to Install IBM SPSS Modeler on Windows XP operating system

Environment

This errors only occurs under Windows XP.

Diagnosing The Problem

Installation of the same program on a Windows Vista or 7 operating system does not reproduce this issue. This proves that the downloaded cabinet files are not corrupt.

Resolving The Problem

This is a problem with the digital signature certificates on your Windows XP machine. You can update your certificates by installing the digital signature from the links below:
