TURF or Total Unduplicated Reach and Frequency analysis

Troubleshooting

Problem

Can SPSS Statistics do a TURF analysis?

Resolving The Problem

SPSS Statistics does not have a procedure for TURF analysis. An extension command is available at https://www.ibm.com/developerworks/mydeveloperworks/files/app?lang=en#/person/270002VCWN/file/8effd6e9-0f45-4821-bbfe-55abeecfbe0c . Note that beginning with Version 19, this extension command is included in the Python Essentials, available at https://www.ibm.com/developerworks/mydeveloperworks/wikis/home/wiki/We70df3195ec8_4f95_9773_42e448fa9029/page/Downloads%20for%20IBM%C2%AE%20SPSS%C2%AE%20Statistics?lang=en .

Beginning with Version 22, Python Essentials and thus the TURF extension are installed by default with SPSS Statistics. It is found in the menus via Analyze>Descriptive Statistics>TURF Analysis. All extension commands can be installed or updated in Version 22 and 23 from the menu

Utilities->Extension Bundles->Download and Install Extension Bundles

and can be updated in Version 24 from the menu

Extensions > Extension Hub
