Troubleshooting
Problem
Trying to load TM1 Perspectives with Excel results in an error. Opening Excel on its own, does not give an error.

Resolving The Problem
Steps to resolve issue for Excel 2003:
- Stop the "Tm1 Excel Service" service (if you also have TM1Web installed locally).
- Open Excel
- Click on the Help menu
- Select Detect and Repair
**Leave the first option checked, and the 2nd option unchecked**
Once you've completed the above steps, close Excel and reboot your computer.
Steps to resolve issue for Excel 2007:
- Stop the "TM1 Excel Service" service (if you also have TM1Web installed locally).
- Click the Microsoft Office Button
- Click "Excel Options"
- Click Resources
- Click Diagnose
- Click Continue
- Click Run Diagnostics
Once you've completed the above steps, close Excel and reboot your computer.
Steps to resolve issue for Excel 2010:
1) Please install the SP1 for Excel 2010 32-bit
a) either use the following link: http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=26622
or
b) in Excel 2010, menu "File", "Help" and "Check for Updates"
2) After the successful installation of SP1 for Excel 2010 32-bit, please delete the temporary EXD-files from the following path:
C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Application Data\Microsoft\Forms
3) Execute an Excel 2010 Repair by going to "Control Panel", "Add/Remove Programs", highlight "Microsoft Office 2010", hit button "Change" and select option "Repair"
