Problem(Abstract)

Scheduled reports fail to run. The following error occurs.

Error Message -

Error Number: 24641
Error Description: Impromptu cannot open the required catalog.

Resolving the problem

In this case the user had both Impromptu User and Impromptu Admin installed on the same computer. The user version was registered. Registering the Impromptu Administrator version resolved the issue. To do this click Start -> Run. Type: "D:\Program Files\Cognos\cer2\bin\ImpAdmin.exe" /regserver.
