Can an IBM® Rational® ClearCase® 2003.06.00 client use a FLEXlm® license server?

Answer



A full ClearCase version 2003.06 (or earlier) client cannot access a FLEXlm license server.

Full ClearCase support for using a FLEXlm license server (Rational Common Licensing) was introduced in ClearCase version 7.0.0.

Refer to the Choice of licensing models section of the ClearCase 7.0.0 Release Notes for further information.

Note that ClearCase LT 7.x and prior versions provide support for using a FLEXLM license server.
