Question

Answer

When following the PTF special instructions for the 7.1.0.12 Server upgrade PTFs (which are SI08154, SI08155 and SI08156 for R510 and SI08159, SI08882, SI08883 for R520), make sure a valid locale name is specified in the LOCALE parameter of the user profile. If not, you may receive error 'CPFA0A9 - Object not found' if the LOCALE parameter in has not been set correctly in the user profile or if the LOCALE does not exist.

Also, make sure the value specified in the LOCALE parameter is entered in uppercase.

For example:

CHGUSRPRF USRPRF(ODUSER) LANGID(ENU) CNTRYID(US) CCSID(37) SETJOBATR(*CCSID *DATFMT *TIMSEP *DATSEP *DECFMT *SRTSEQ) LOCALE('/QSYS.LIB/EN_US.LOCALE')

Otherwise, when you try to start the servers with STRTCPSVR *ONDMD, the job will end immediately and the joblog will show:

CPFA0A9 - Object not found.

Cause:   Object /QSYS.LIB/EN_US or a directory in the object path could not be found or its type cannot be resolved by this function.
Recovery:   Correct the name or specify an object of the correct type. To determine if the object exists, use the WRKLNK command.

If the name exists, check the type of the object. If the name contains symbolic link objects, ensure the path names they resolve to exist. Retry the operation.
