Sametime meetings fail to go active if the server uses hyperthreaded technology

Technote (troubleshooting)

You are unable to get Lotus® Sametime® working with hyperthreading technology. Hyperthreading technology maximizes processor resources and enables a single processor to run two separate threads of software simultaneously.

Sametime meetings will fail to go active after several days if hyperthreading is enabled on the server.
