How to automate the collection of memory dumps

Technote (FAQ)

Question

Memory dumps are helpful in investigating possible memory leaks in Lotus Domino® and provide a snapshot of Domino memory usage. Is there a way to automate the creation of periodic memory dumps?

Answer

You can collect memory dumps using a Program document.
The screen shots below illustrate the settings used to run the memory dumps in Windows every six hours (360 minutes):

NOTE: In Unix, Linux and iSeries, the program name is "server", not "nserver".

NOTE: The memory dumps by default will be created in the IBM_TECHNICAL_SUPPORT directory.
