Error description

• RSA 8.0.4: Running the UPIA Modeling Generate Resource Exchanges
  results in an exception occurred.
  See ER RATLC02769201 for more details and attachment.
  Steps are:  created a capability realization then create
  operational activity. Put in the UPIA swimlanes, UPIA tasks and
  UPIA operational information flows. Then try to run run the UPIA
  Modeling Generate Resource Exchanges and receive an error that
  is attached in screen shot (rsa_resource_exchange_error.png).
  Running the Generate Resource Flows completes with no errors.
  This occurs on each of the standalone machine 64 bit, Windows 7.
  
  Nothing shows in the console when you run the resource
  generation.

  Creating a resource exchange throws a exception. Creation of
  resource exchanges is aborted and information about number
  of resource exchanges created, failed etc is also not shown
  in the end.
  

Problem conclusion

• Attempt was made to create a exchange link using "Activity"
  as one the nodes. This illegal node caused this exception.
  Also, this should be thrown as warning so that it can
  captured in details section of ErrorDialog status. This was
  the reason that resource generation aborted and details
  section missed all the information about resource exchange
  details.
