APAR status

Error description

• Rational Developer for System z - RDz - v8.5.1.2: In CARMA,
  when attempting to 'Identify unreachable code' on a Cobol
  source (.CBL extension), it fails with error message CRRZJ0005E
  'An unexpected error was found while analyzing the program for
  unreachable code'.

  Local fix:
  Changing the extension from upper to lower case will make it
  work as expected without error.

Problem summary

• For both the Control Flow Diagram and the Identify Unreachable
  Code, the manner in which the top level file was identified was
  done in a case sensitive manner, so top level files where not
  being found if they had upper case file extensions.
  

Problem conclusion

• The main program file is now identified by its file extension in
  a case insensitive manner.
  
  The problem listed in this APAR has been resolved with
  IBM Rational Developer for System z V8.5.1.4 Fix Pack which
  is available from the Recommended Fixes support download page:
