Error description

• Rational Developer for System z V8.5.1 - WSDL2COBOL does not
  resolve XSD element references when multiple namespaces are
  present
  
  When two XSDs import namespaces from each other (e.g.,
  xsd:element ref='param:datport'), WSDL2COBOL does not resolve
  XSD element references.
  
  Local fix:
  Modify the WSDL to use complexType references instead of element
  references
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• XSD element references may not be resolved by the "Generate
  COBOL Mapping" action when generating COBOL data structures and
  mapping files from WSDL.  No error is generated, and the
  unresolved elements will not appear in the generated copybook or
  mapping files.
  

Problem conclusion

• A WSDL2ELS XSD traversal algorithm was corrected to resolve
  those elements that are references prior to attempting to
  inspect their contents.
  
  The problem listed in this APAR has been resolved with
  IBM Rational Developer for System z V8.5.1.4 Fix Pack which
  is available from the Recommended Fixes support download page:
