Error description
**************************************************************** Error Description: **************************************************************** In Rational Developer for System z (RDz)the 'Open Program' option is not available for valid LINK and XCTL statements that are within CICS EXEC statements. When you right click on a program that is used in a Call statement in a COBOL program then the 'Open Program' option appears. But if you open a COBOL program with CICS exec invocations and right click on a program in an XCTL or LINK statement, then the 'Open Program' option is not available from the menu. Recreation Steps: Created property group that pointed syslib to this same PDS Edited Mortgage.cbl and changed CALL 'TOTOPRG' USING DFHCOMMAREA DFHEIBLK. to CALL 'MORTSUBR' USING DFHCOMMAREA DFHEIBLK. When I highlight MORTSUBR from this call and right click then I get the options to: Open 'MORTSUBR' View 'MORTSUBR' Browse 'MORTSUBR' However, if I highlight 'MORTSUBR' in the EXEC CICS Link statement below then none of these options are available. EXEC CICS LINK PROGRAM ('MORTSUBR') COMMAREA (COM-REGION) END-EXEC **************************************************************** Local Fix: **************************************************************** None available
