• Rational Developer for System z - RDz - v8.5.1.1
  
  Description :
  In the Remote System perspective, the 'properties-?mapping'
  value of a system library does not get saved between disconnect/
  reconnect of the system. Customer has to enter the value every
  time he connects to the MainFrame.
  
  Steps to reproduce:
  A new workspace as well as the push-to-client feature and
  configuration files for resource mappings are needed.
  1. create a new connection to a MVS which has configuration
  files
  for resource mappings, and connect to it
  2. select 'MVS Files - Resource Mapping' check box in the opened
  'Update Available' dialog
  3. push the OK button
  4. expand an RSE filter whose HLQ is not included in the
  downloaded configuration files in the RSE view
  5. change a mapping property of a dataset in the expanded filter
  6. disconnect and reconnect
      -? the changed mapping property is ignored
  
  Local fix :
  The extension can be hard-coded by using the File System
  Mapping.
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• Local configuration files for the resource mapping were
  initialized on reconnecting when they were not included in
  downloaded configuration files.
  

Problem conclusion

• The RDz client was fixed to save updated local configuration
  files even when they were not downloaded.
  
  The problem listed in this APAR has been resolved with
  IBM Rational Developer for System z V8.5.1.4 Fix Pack which
  is available from the Recommended Fixes support download page:
