APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Running round-trip with multiple elements selected causes a
    preserve block containing friend declaration be removed
    accidentally. A workaround is to use ??Friend?? dependency
    instead of directly adding friend declaration into the preserve
    block.

Local fix

Problem summary

  • FRT : Running FRT with multiple elements selected results in
    removing "preserve" blocks

Problem conclusion

  • work around:
    Use #ifdef instead of preserve:
    On the configuration feature dialog, add some text
    (DO_NOT_MODEL_TO_RHP) to property
    CPP_ReverseEngineering::Parser::Defined , and replace the
    preserve with ifdef:
    #ifndef DO_NOT_MODEL_TO_RHP
    ... (friend class FOO)
    #endif
