Rational Developer for System z - RDz - v8.5.1 When remote codepage for a PDS is setup to be 1142 some Danish national characters, when used in variable names in EXEC CICS, SQL or DLI statements cause the PLI real time syntax checker to flag the following error: '.' expected rather than this input. For example, if a variable has a name of A1.L?NGDE then it will be flagged with the warning: Unable to resolve reference to A1.L?NGDE You may see a different error depending on where the reference to the variable with the name occurs. These are Danish National characters: Windows chars: A-E ligature: ? , ? Windows chars: Nordic 0 Slash: ? , ? Windows chars: Nordic A ring: ? , ?
The RDz module that parses EXEC CICS statements did not support PL/I extralingual characters.
Modified code to accept extralingual characters in PL/I EXEC CICS statements. The problem listed in this APAR has been resolved with IBM Rational Developer for System z V22.214.171.124 Fix Pack which is available from the Recommended Fixes support download page: http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=2294&uid=swg27006335
