Rational Developer for System z 8.5.1 - RDz - When Refactor (remove noise words) performed on COBOL/PLI program in System z LPEX editor, client hangs. RDz user opens COBOL/PL1 program in the System z LPEX editor. Once program is open, they right-click in editor pane and select Refactor -? Remove Noise Words from the context menu. User selects noise words to be removed and clicks ?OK?. User is presented with a panel that contains 'Problems found', as well as, the number of 'Noise word' instances found. When user clicks ?Continue? button, client hangs (Remove Noise Words dialog panel never goes away). User needs to cancel RDz client using task manager. Local Fix: (1) Open program in COBOL/PLI editor when doing the refactor function. (2) If system z LPEX editor is preferred, make sure the following LPEX Editor Preprocessor Integration preference is NOT selected: Window ? Preferences ? LPEX Editor ? System z LPEX Editor ? COBOL Parser or PL/I Parser ? Preprocessor Integration ? Preprocessor Statements: 'Run preprocessors when opening a file that has not been scanned before'
See error description.
