  • Rational Developer for System z 8.5.1 - RDz - When opening MFS
Element from CARMA Repositories view, Design and Preview tabs
display 'empty'.

When customer opens an MFS element (with .mfs extension) from
CARMA Repositories view (Endevor SCM), the source tab will show
the source but the design and preview tabs display
'empty'/blank.

Local Fix:

All 3 tabs display properly when opening an MFS ELEMENT/member
from Remote Systems view.

Problem summary


    

  • MFS files opened from CARMA were not being handled properly in
the MFS editor.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • The end of line characters are different when the file is
extracted from CARMA, so had to change the way it is handled in
the MFS editor.

The problem listed in this APAR has been resolved with
IBM Rational Developer for System z V8.5.1.1 Fix Pack which
is available from the Recommended Fixes support download page:
