Error description
The real-time syntax check in the System z LPEX , COBOL and PL/I Editors does not accept the NOHANDLE option placed before the EXEC CICS command is fully named in some multiple-word EXEC CICS commands. For example, WRITE NOHANDLE FILE... (rather than WRITE FILE.... NOHANDLE) would be flagged with an error annotation in the editor even though the compiler accepts it
Local fix
Problem summary
The EXEC CICS real-time syntax check parser did not accept NOHANDLE or other command options before a multiple-word CICS command (like WRITE FILE) was fully specified, but the compiler accepts this form.
Problem conclusion
The EXEC CICS real-time syntax check parser has been changed to be more flexible regarding the order of command options in many multiple-word CICS commands (like WRITE FILE, ADD SUBEVENT, INVOKE SERVICE, RUN ACTIVITY, and others). The problem listed in this APAR has been resolved with IBM Rational Developer for System z V8.0.3.4 Fix Pack which is available from the Recommended Fixes support download page: http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=2294&uid=swg27006335
