Error description

• Rational Developer for System z PL/I Remote Syntax Check marks
  incorrectly located when using diacritic characters like the
  German umlaut.
  This happens when using remote syntax check and the source
  contains diacritic characters (???.... etc). The marking of the
  erroneous lines wraps incorrectly over to the next line and may
  appear several lines below the actual location of the error.
  
  The amount that the offset of the syntax error annotations are
  incorrect is in proportion to the number of diacritic characters
  in the program above the location of the error.
  
  For local files this is visible when using a file encoding of
  UTF-8
