Error description

  • Issue: Within the DOORS-RTC integration, while mapping the DOORS
requirement title to the RTC summary and submitting an
    implementation request - if the
requirement title contains a '?' character, then the integration
strips out all text following the '?' character.

    Steps to recreate the issue:

    1) Create an Object in your IR DOORS module that contains text
    as this:

PRE ?FDJ SIDE DOOR FRAMELESS GLASS SET VER01
    2) Now create an Implementation Request.
    3) As soon as we select to do this, a WI window pops up. This
window would have the DOORS Heading mapped to the WI summary.
    4) Here is where (WI summary) you would observe that the text '
PRE ?FDJ SIDE DOOR FRAMELESS GLASS SET VER01' is truncated to
    'PRE'.
    5) The same is observed if for DOORS Object text as well.

In the DOORS-Change Integration, when using RTC and mapping
DOORS requirement title to the RTC summary attribute then
submitting an Implementation Request. If the Requirement
title contains a "?" character or any other of the reserved
characters such as "?", "?", """, "'", the attribute value
will not display properly on the Submit IR form.

    Steps to reproduce the issue:
1.) Create an object in your DOORS module configured for
Implementation Requests that contains text like so:

PRE ?FDJ SIDE DOOR FRAMELESS GLASS SET VER01

2.) Create an Implementation Request by selecting the object
    above and selecting "Submit IR"

3.) A WI window pops up and this window will have the DOORS
Heading mapped to the WI summary. The value of the DOORS
Heading is not displayed properly on the WI form.

Note: The same is observed for the DOORS Object Text as
    well.

Problem conclusion

  • The Fix will be included in DOORS-Change Management 9.5.
Submit IR form should now display the pre-filled attributes
    correctly.

    Note:
There is a defect opened with CQ since they are not properly
decoding the encoded attribute value, so the Submit IR form
when used against CQ will not display the correct values for
    reserved characters. (RATLC02614204)

Another defect opened against Change related to this
    problem. (R#43451)
