Error description

  • When trying to Retrieve several elements with a single command,
the pop-up displayed is incorrect (element name incorrect,
through element missing, and version/level filled as it should
    not).
This fix will allow the customer to perform the following steps:

    1) Select the initial element to retrieve
    2) On the Retrieve Element panel, the end user wll manually
clear the level ? version fields (the fix will remove their
    current read only attribute)
    3) The end user can manually enter the 'Through element name'

Note that the customer will not have the ability to select
multiple elements and have the 'Through element name'
    automatically defined.

Local fix

Problem summary

  • Parameters are not automatically filled in from the available
information for the CA Endevor SCM RAM. Additionally,
parameters filled in for the CA Endevore Packages RAM can be
    replaced by previously entered values.

Problem conclusion

  • Endevor client code is fixed to properly gather default
parameter values to present to the user when using the CA
Endevor SCM RAM. If the user wishes to use the through field
for an action, the user should only select the starting element
and then fill the through field to instruct Endevor to batch the
work.Additionally, the two check boxes on the bottom of the
custom parameter dialog have been fixed so the state of the
check boxes is remembered. These boxes are "Remember the
entered values for later" and "Continue to prompt me for the
remaining members on this task"For the CA Endevor Packages RAM,
the user will have to modify the CARMA preferences
    (Windows->Preferences...; Team->CARMA) and move "Property
Values" to the top of the Custom Parameter Search Order list in
order to provide the same fix. This preference can be
distributed through the Push To Client system.

IBM Rational Developer for System z V8.0.3.2 Fix Pack which
