Problem summary

  reader/updater buttons were disabled when cookies were
  cleared and therefore reader/updater flags were not set
  correctly
  

Problem conclusion

• disable/enable on the Radio buttons were fixed to allow
  correct setting.
  
  Workaround:
  
  The problem appears only when SA/XT is first launched after
  a fresh install. Thus the circumvention is simply to
  terminate SA/XT and restart (but do not clear cookies).
