PM58316: RDz COBOL editor/LPEX editor report errors in CICS/IMS DLIUIB copybook
A fix is available
Closed as program error.
RDz displays the following syntax errors when editing COBOL source containing the DLIUIB copybook when the copybook was delivered with CICS/TS prior to version 4.2 (i.e. DLIUIB copybook delivered in CICS 4.2 has changed and RDz does not produce these errors): Multiple markers at this line - The copybook contains the following error: 'ERROR_TOKEN' unexpected tokens ignored - The copybook contains the following error: 'REDEFINES' expected instead of this input followed by: 'ERROR_TOKEN' unexpected tokens ignored The code compiles fine on the mainframe.
The CICS TS copybook DLIUIB (up through CICS TS V4R1, CICSTS.V4R1M0.CICS.SDFHCOB(DLIUIB) )contains certain unprintable characters that can cause editor real-time parsing errors in RDz 8.0.3 and RDz 22.214.171.124. The unprintable characters are being read using the wrong character encoding, which causes the sequence numbers in columns 73-80 of the DLIUIB copybook to be parsed beyond column 80, causing the failure.
This fix reads the copybook using the correct encoding. In a z/OS Project, user may need to refresh the cached copy of the copybook (right-click on DLIUIB reference in the COPY statement and select "Refresh Cached Copy"). The problem listed in this APAR has been resolved with IBM Rational Developer for System z V126.96.36.199 Fix Pack which is available from the Recommended Fixes support download page: http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=2294&uid=swg27006335
