Rational Rhapsody Fix Pack 1 (7.6.1.1) for 7.6.1

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• when running installation with 'IBM Rational Rhapsody.msi' file,
  at the end of the installtion several error messages appear:
  error 1904: Module ?module name? failed to register.
  reason:
  the .msi installation does not check the prerequisites, and a
  missing MS VC++ 2008 Redistributable Pack which is responsible
  for the registration error is not installed.
  
  defect: the .msi installation shoiuld also detect missing
  prerequisites as the setup.exe installation does
