Error description

  • RDz 8.0.3 documentation shipped with product disks states that
the updatesite.zip for the local help updater is located on the
Quick Start Disk. This is incorrect.
    The actual location is in
    \RDz_Java_v803_Core_Disk1-CI31GML\RDz803Java_Setup\install_local
    help_803.

    RDz_Java_v803_Core_Disk1-CI31GML\RDz803Java_Setup\Documents\en\R
    eadme\t_consider_usingupdatestiezip2install.html
    states:
... The RDz8.0_updateSite.zip file is located on the IBM
Rational Developer for System z Quick Start Disk.

Documentation shipped with the product needs to be corrected.

Local fix

Problem summary

  • See error description.

Problem conclusion

  • For RDz 8.5, the Update.zip file will be located on both the
setup/installation disk and the quickstart disk in the
"documentation\help" directory. The install documentation will
    clearly state this.
