PM54809: Edit or browse of a SCLM member fails
A fix is available
Closed as program error.
APAR Error Description: Abstract: In Rational Developer for System z (RDz) version 8.0.3, attempts to edit or browse a SCLM member fails: no error and no editor open. Problem: There is no error in SCLM operation log, only in the RDz client .log: !ENTRY com.ibm.etools.team.sclm.bwb.plugin.SCLMTeamPlugin 4 8 2011-12-14 14:08:18.250 !MESSAGE Browse Action Failed. Problem happens when SCLM Data set naming conventions is not defined as standard @@FLMPRJ.@@FLMGRP.@@FLMTYP. Local fix: There is no known workaround at this time.
An SCLM Browse or Edit may fail if the SCLM project is defined with an alternate data set naming convention using the DSNAME keyword in SCLM FLMCNTRL or FLMALTC project definition. The client fails to use the real data set name passed in the DSN parameter on a project populate.
The client fix will use the DSN parameter to identify the real data set name. This DSN parameter is returned for each member on a populate project request. The co-requisite host side APAR PM58077 will be required if the user has the following parameter specified in rsed.envvars _SCLMDT_POPULATE=V76 The problem listed in this APAR has been resolved with IBM Rational Developer for System z V126.96.36.199 Fix Pack which is available from the Recommended Fixes support download page: http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=2294&uid=swg27006335
