PM53910: Exporting from DOORS to RQM using RQMI results in a 500 Internal Server Error

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The RQMI integration necessary for exporting DOORS requirements
  to RQM depends on RQMI sending valid XML to the RQM server.
  
  There are special characters in DOORS which can cause the XML
  generated from RQMI to be invalid.

  Over time it is possible for DOORS data to contain certain
  control characters (see attachments for screenshots and
  example module archives).
  
  These characters have values of less that 0x20 hex, which is
  invalid when inserted into XML.
  
  This is the reason for the defect, the control characters
  were being included in the export XML sent to RQM, and its
  parser was rejecting them.
  

Problem conclusion

• When parsing the DOORS data to build the export XML any
  control characters with values less than 0x20 hex are
  removed.
