Error description

  • WebSphere Application Server Service Component Architecture
(SCA) mediation reads a Web service message and dispatches it
to the next node. When the SOAP message contains a SOAP
header, the outbound SOAP message could be corrupted.

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: SOAP message with header is corrupted *
    * when going through SCA mediation. *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION: Apply a fix pack that contains this APAR. *
    ****************************************************************
WebSphere Application Server SCA mediation reads a Web service
message and dispatches it to the next node. When the SOAP
message contains a SOAP header, the outbound SOAP message
might be corrupted. For example, a SOAP message might be
    corrupted like following:
    <soapenv:Envelope><soapenv:Header>......<soapenv:Header><soapenv
    :Body>......</soapenv:Body></soapenv:Header></soapenv:Header>

Problem conclusion

  • There is a problem with message serialization when Provider
type is OMElement. During serialization the proper
state in a stack was not being maintained and this problem
has been corrected to avoid SOAP message corruption.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix packs 7.0.0.23 and 8.0.0.3. Please refer to the
