Error description

  • Some messages were written to SYSLOG only and not their joblogs,
    it is an issue for everyone managing the product.

    For example when the command ' F RDZRSED,APPL=CANCEL' is issued
    if there is a syntax error, a message was written on RDZRSED
    (started task) job log such as:

    10.12.43 STC20417  +FEK204E Invalid Cancel Command: Cancel
    ID=|User=
    10.13.08 STC20417  +FEK204E Invalid Cancel Command: Cancel
    ID=|User=

    When the command is valid and executed, no message is written to
    the joblog but rather in the syslog is:

    NC0000000 SYSI 11272 10:31:00.90 ITSXZ881 00000280 F
    RDZRSED,APPL=CANCEL USER=XXXXXXX
    NR0020000 SYSI 11272 10:31:00.91 SIS14205 00000080 +FEK208I
    4290816 : XXXXXXX canceled

    Since FEK* messages are owned by RDZ, should be in the started
    task job log also.

    ****************************************************************
    Some messages were written to SYSLOG only and not the joblogs.
    For example when the command " F RSED,APPL=CANCEL" is issued
    and there is a syntax error, a message was written on RSED
    (started task) job log such as
    +FEK204E Invalid Cancel Command: Cancel ID=|User=
    When the command is valid and executed, no message is written to
    the joblog but in the syslog there is:
    +FEK208I 4290816 : XXXXXXX canceled
    Since FEK* messages are owned by RDz, they should be in the
    started task job log also.
    To process the cancel command, the Daemon process sends the
    command to the Server process, and the Server process will
    cancel the user. Then, the Server process issues the message of
    the user canceled. The message written by the Server process
    will not be written onto the joblog.

Problem conclusion

  • Now, all of the messages related to the console commands will be
    written by the Daemon process. If the command is processed in
    the Server process, the Server process will notify the Daemon
    process of its completion. Then, the Daemon process will write
    the completion message out.
