PM49981: Extra double-quote generated before a label surrounded by double-quotes.
A fix is available
Closed as program error.
Remove the special handling for ' (double quotes) by the BMS parser, as it is done for ' (single quotes) and ? (ampersands).
In the RDz BMS Map editor when creating a Label with an Initial Value that contains a double quote, the Source is incorrectly updated to include two double quotes.
The RDz BMS Map editor contains special handling for single quotes and ampersands, but erroneously contained similar special handling for double quotes as well. The special handling was put in place to assist users with the following CICS TS requirement regarding special characters within initial values for BMS labels: Surround initial values by single quote marks. If you need a single quote within your text, use two successive single quotes (the assembler removes the extra one). Ampersands also have special significance to the assembler, and you use the same technique: use two ampersands where you want one, and the assembler removes the extra. The problem listed in this APAR has been resolved with IBM Rational Developer for System z V126.96.36.199 Fix Pack which is available from the Recommended Fixes support download page: http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=2294&uid=swg27006335
