PM49772: ARCHIVE PROCESS IS VERY SLOW IN SOLARIS (UNIX BASED OS)

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The rate of transfer when archiving a large module on Solaris DB
  decreases gradually (from around 95MB/minute to below
  10MB/minute within a window of 12 minutes). On a Windows server
  however, though there's a decline in transfer rate, it's not as
  acute as in Solaris (from 120 MB/min it drops to around 40
  MB/minute in a window of 10 mins). Workaround is to use 'Archive
  on Server' option.
