Error description

  • Deleting an object that contained a link from a purged module
    generates diagnostic logs

    Steps to reproduce:
    - Create Module A and B
    - Create a link from Object A to Object B in Module A and B
    respectively
    - Save both modules and close the modules.
    - Open Module B which has the in-link.
    - Delete and purge Module A.
    - Now, try deleting Object B in Module B.

    Work-around:
    - Do not have Module B open when Module A is purged.
    OR
    - Close and re-open Module B, before trying to delete Object B

Problem conclusion

  • While trying to delete an object in a module, the function
that validates the links (in-links and out-links) tries to
access an invalid link whose parent has already been
destroyed. This process is now extended to validate the
existence of the parent module before accessing it. After
this fix, the problem is resolved and the user is able to
    delete the object.
