Error description
QC 34918 Problem It is possible to delete a linkset from a link module but have the links remain in the source/target formal modules To Reproduce 1. Create a source module with one object 2. Create a target module with one object 3. Link the two objects created in the above steps together either via the default link module or any existing link module and then save the source/target modules 4. Make sure you leave the source module open! 5. Open the link module and delete the linkset for the source/target module pairing 6. You get a warning that all links and link attributes will be deleted, click Confirm and close the link module 7. Now since you still have the source module open, you notice the link created in step 3 is gone 8. But if you close the source module it asks if you want to save. If you select no and re-open the module the link is present again Results Linkset is gone but any link which was defined via that linkset pairing remains

Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** Defect existed because there was a difference in link deletion with and without GUI window for source module. Basically the source module was updated and saved when it is NOT opened by user (no window). However when it was opened by user is was just updated (and marked as modified). So it was up to user to save the module.
Problem conclusion
User is queried to continue with linkset deletion if he has source module opened in exclusive edit mode. "The source module MODULE_NAME for this linkset is currently open. When you delete the linkset, out-links from the source module will be deleted and the module will be saved. Do you want to continue? [Yes] [ No]"
