Error description

  • During Export to Word, horizontal line seperators and blank
table cells inherit style from previous attribute exported

    For horizontal line seperators:
    - Create a module with 4 objects.
    - For object 1 and 3, have only Object Heading
    - For object 2 and 4, have only Object Text
    - While exporting module to Word, choose 'Use horizontal line
    separators in book layout exports'.

In the resulting document, we can observe that the horizontal
line seperators after object 1 and 3 are in the style of Heading
1, and after 2, 4 the style of horizontal line seperators is
    Normal.

In earlier versions, all horizontal line seperators are always
    of style Normal.

    For empty table cells:
    - Create a module with 4 objects.
    - For object 1 and 3, have only Object Heading
    - For object 2 and 4, have only Object Text
    - Insert a table (with 2 rows and 2 columns) after object 3.
Fill the cells in first row with some text.
    - Insert a table (with 2 rows and 2 columns) after object 4.
Fill the cells in first row with some text.
    - Export the module to Word.

In the resulting document, we can observe that in the table
after object 3, style for the second row is 'Heading' style.
In the table after object 4, style for the second row is is
    Normal.

Issue reproducible from 9.2.0.4 and above. In 9.2.0.2 and
earlier, the issue is not seen. For ALL table cells, the style
    is Normal by default.

In exported documents for Word, horizontal lines and empty
table cells inherit the previous style. eg: In the exported
document, horizontal line will have the "Heading 1" style,
if there is a text with that style just before it.

Problem conclusion

  • Word exporter script is fixed. Horizontal lines and empty
table cells doesn't inherit the previous style anymore.
