Error description

  • Problem
Attempt to edit the first group in a CPS, when that group has
been created by a Standard CPS user, and you will get an error
about not having access to the group object.

The problem is that the 'groups' module hasn't been setup for
sections, so the group object added can't be locked.

A further knock-on effect is that when the user attempts to
review the group, the list of modules is empty.

    To Reproduce
     - create a CPS
     - add a user as with Standard role
     - login as that user and create a master group in the CPS
     - open the 'Manage groups' dialog and attempt to edit the group

    Possible Workarounds
Creating sections in the module works around the group editing
issue but not the review issue.

Problem conclusion

  • The code has been changed so that the errors do not occur
when using CPS in this scenario.
