Error description

• Database search strings containing the '.' character fail when s
  earching names and descriptions (e.g. searching for *4.1*). Simi
  larly database contents searches fail when using a string such a
  s *4.1* with the 'Use wildcards' checkbox ticked.

  Two types of database search have started to fail:
  
   - name and description searches involving both the "."
  character and asterisks as wildcards.
   - contents searches as above, but also using the "Use
  wildcards" option.
  

Problem conclusion

• The code has been changed so that these searches now do not
  fail
