Error description

  • The RTF Export function applies different font styles to
different columns of a table. As a result, the fonts in the
first column are smaller than the rest of the table. This
problem manifests in both Word 2003 and Word 2007.

    To reproduce:
    1. The DOORS client workstation's Display properties should be
    set as follows:
        - Settings > Advanced > DPI Setting: Normal size (96 DPI)
        - Appearance > Font size: Normal
        - 1:1 zoom
        - Desktop aspect ratio should be appropriate for the monitor
    (i.e., no stretching or squeezing)
    2. Configure Word as follows:
        - The Normal.dot template should be the factory default
        - Zoom should be 100%
        - Options should be set to the factory defaults
    3. Create a formal module with the following contents:
        1 Table
(2 x 2 table inserted below Heading 1; each table cell
    contains text: abc)
    4. Export to Rich Text Format:
        - General tab:
     Layout = Book
Include DOORS Heading Numbers is checked
Issue a warning when an unregistered OLE object is
exported as a picture is checked
        - Advanced tab:
     Break before None is selected
All other fields are grayed out
    5. Open the RTF file with MS Word 2003 (or MS Word 2007). You
will see that the text in the table's first column is smaller
than the text in the second column:
        - Click on the text in the first column and observe that the
style is 'Normal' -- the font size is 10.
        - Click on the text in the second column and observe that
the style is 'Normal + 12pt' -- the font size is 12. (In MS
Word 2007, the style appears to also be called Normal, but the
    size is still 12.)
