PK84479: STATIC METAFILE ERROR WHILE ACTIVATING OLE IN DOORS

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• While activating the Visio OLE in DOORS module, you recieve an
  error message saying 'Static metafile'

  Possible workarounds they have suggested are:
  
  Deleting the files VISIO.BIN and ShapeGallery.mdb (the Visio
  cache I
  think) will allow for activation once but not thereafter. So,
  you need
  to delete these files every time you activate the Visio OLE.

  Visio 2002 OLE objects cannot be activated upon
  double-clicking or trying to open them. Sometimes this works
  randomly and the object is opened for editing. The errors
  experienced in this situation are "Unable to activate OLE
  object!" or "static metafile".
  

Problem conclusion

• DOORS has upgraded the version of edit control used to
  handle editing within DOORS, which includes OLE handling,
  which has resolved this issue.
