PI99494: COMPONENT PROPERTIES FROM TEMPLATE ARE NOT VISIBLE

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Component properties from template are not visible when editing
  a component.
  
  This is first observed in UCD version 6.2.7.3. The issue is not
  seen in older UCD versions.
  
  Steps to reproduce the issue:
  1. Create a component template and add a Component Property
  Definition "TemplateComponentPropertyName1"
  Afterwards, there are two options to create a component from
  that component template (that template has one property under
  the Component property definition) and the first way does not
  display property anymore in 6.2.7.3 , while the second way is
  still displaying during the creation:
  
  2. A) From the main Components tab > subtab Components > click
  Create Component button and then select component template in
  the dialogue: the property TemplateComponentPropertyName1" is
  not shown in the dialogue.  -- but it would be displayed in the
  versions prior to 6.2.7.3!
  OR
  2. B) From the main Components tab > subtab Component Templates
  > select the component template > its subtab Components > click
  the button Create Component ... so creating a component from
  within this specific component template  -- the property
  "TemplateComponentPropertyName1" is displayed in the dialogue
  
  RESULT:
  3. Once component is created, go to its configuration tab:
  "TemplateComponentPropertyName1" is missing, regardless of how
  the component was created (either 2 A or 2 B).
  

Local fix

• Contact UrbanCode Support if you would like to request a UI
  patch.
