APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • The Objects (topics) are initialised in the component
    (domainParticipant) in a specific order that appears arbitrary
    according to some unknown criteria. Sometimes this will change
    after running CG/RE_CG.
    The user cannot specify this order explicitly so that it 1)
    follows a specific order and 2) does not change unexpectedly
    later.

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:                                         *
    * The order of topics initialization in the code is arbitrary *
    * and not consistent after  CG/RE_CG.                          *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************

Problem conclusion

  • The topics initialization order will be sorted by topic kind and
    and topic name ( STANDARD topics before MULTI_TOPIC)

    note:
    1. Unlike other elements with code generation user order, the
    topics are not contained inside single compartment, and can be
    scattered between packages
    2. User define order for topic is a enhancement and will not be
    implemented in this APAR, please openan enhancement if you
    need this feature.
